William “Bill” Jon Barfknecht

47 of Burnsville passed away on 7/19/22 from a motorcycle crash.

Funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, July 27th, 2022, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.

Bill is preceded in death by his fiancé, Shauna Melander; maternal grandfather, William Quigley and his wife, Jean; grandmother, Lorraine Quigley; paternal grandparents, Merlyn and Harriet Barfknecht.

Bill is survived by his children, Cody, Drew (Lanie), and Evelyn Barfknecht, and Carter Melander; mother, Debbie Green and stepfather, Richard Green; father, Dan (Lu) Barfknecht; siblings, Holly (Sean) Harris, Dan (Cindy), and Amanda (Lanny). Shauna’s family: her brother, Travis (Maria) Melander, her mother, Rita (Terry) Ledbetter, and her father, John Melander.

Bill worked in construction in his adult years. His hobbies included fishing, camping, woodworking, and motorcycling. He was a jack of all trades and always willing to help anybody. His children meant everything to him. He was the most kind, caring and generous person anyone could ever meet. He is so sadly missed by everyone that knew him.
