Twilda Marie Grove

Twilda “Twil” M. Grove (Mann), age 73, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday evening, October 12, 2022 after a short battle with cancer.

Twil was born on January 6, 1949 in Red Wing, MN. Twil and her husband Bob were married on January 8, 1982 in Hagerstown, Maryland, and later returned to Minnesota where they made their home in Cottage Grove. Before retirement, Twil worked at UFCW Local 1189 as an office manager. Twil and Bob enjoyed traveling to West Virginia to visit family and friends, but they mostly enjoyed their camper at Balsam Lake, Wisconsin where they spent most of their time during the summer months.

Twil was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley V. Duwe (Mann) and siblings George R. Hild and Candace L. Hancock (Hild).

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Grove, daughters Tami Denn-Bauer (Mitch Bauer) of Cottage Grove, Geri Denn of Grantsburg, WI; stepchildren Michele Haehnel (Craig) of Eagan, Jim Grove (fiancé Colleen Downing) of Albrightsville, PA, Robert Duff (April) of Lehighton, PA and Nikole Shirilla (Dillon) of Davenport, IA; brother Lynn Mann (Patricia) of Hastings; grandchildren Hayden Bauer, Piercen Haehnel, Dustin Grove, Shane Grove, Taelynne Duff, Amanda Duff and Cody Piercen; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street in Hastings. A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Private interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery later that afternoon.
