Timothy M. Gegen

Timothy Michael Gegen, a resident of Henderson, Nevada, passed away unexpectedly on October 24, 2024 at the age of 60.

Timothy was born in Hastings, Minnesota on November 10, 1963 to Thomas and Janean Gegen. He attended the University of Wisconsin, Eau Claire and graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He went on to have a 26 year-long career as a locomotive engineer for the Union Pacific Railroad.

On June 6, 1996, he met the love of his life, Kathryn in Sparks, Nevada. They married on January 17, 1999. Timothy had three children, Jacob, Madelyn, and Micayla who he loved very much. Timothy was a devoted husband and father.

He enjoyed camping, kayaking, watching the Minnesota Vikings, and listening to the Grateful Dead. He was a natural athlete and excelled in any sport he played, his favorite being basketball. He grew up in Minnesota and Wisconsin, spending his free time outdoors with his lifelong friend, Jeff Gaudette. He had the best sense of humor and could make anybody he met laugh. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Timothy is survived by his wife, Kathryn; his children, Jacob Means, Madelyn (Jacob Ford), and Micayla; and his siblings, Robert (Letticia), Deborah, Ronald, Dennis (Julie), and Susan (Jose). He is preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Janean; and his brother, Steven.

A committal service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Cemetery, Hastings. A Celebration of Life will follow.
