Theresa "Tuts" Lucking (Siebenaler)

Theresa "Tuts" Lucking, age 93 of Vermillion, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Friday morning, October 20, 2023.

Theresa Mary Siebenaler, the daughter of Mathias and Rosa (Girgen) Siebenaler, was born on May 30, 1930, in Vermillion Township, Dakota County, Minnesota. On August 26, 1950, Tuts was united in marriage to Raymond E. Lucking at St. Boniface in Hastings. Tuts was a dedicated homemaker and talented seamstress for anyone in need. She was also a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vermillion where she volunteered in any way she could over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; granddaughter, Emma; grandson, Issac; great granddaughter, Keyara; son-in-law, Joe Ginther; siblings, Ferdinand (Marie) Siebenaler, Sue (Al) Wagner, Marie (Leo) Kasel, Sr. Rosalie Siebenaler, Clara (Greg Mamer & Ray Rother) Rother, Joe (Louise) Siebenaler, Bill (Emma) Siebenaler, Ben (Mary) Siebenaler, Mathias (Evelyn) Siebenaler, Leo (June) Siebenaler, Rose (Lawrence) Rother.

Tuts is survived by her children, Catherine "Kitty" (Patrick) Shirk, Barb (Bob Blough) Ginther, Ray (Vonda) Lucking, Randy (Patty) Lucking, Mary Richter (Duane Lynum), Lee (Elaine) Lucking, and Roger (Sharon) Lucking; twenty-one grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, Nell (Willard) Whipple; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Vermillion, with Father James Notebaart and Father Martin Siebenaler concelebrating. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings, and for one hour prior to mass at church on Saturday morning.
