Stanley F. Wesolowski

Stanley “Skip” Wesolowski, age 87, of Hastings, MN, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Friday, October 25, 2024.

Skip was born in Hastings, MN on January 27, 1937. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1955. While in high school, Skip proudly served the National Guard in 1954, until he received honorable discharge of his service.

He worked at 3M Chemolite in Cottage Grove, MN for 42 years. It was there where he met the love of his life, Delores “Dee” Tri. They were later united in marriage on May 17, 1958, at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hastings, MN.

They were blessed with 4 daughters, 3 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandsons, during their 66 wonderful years of marriage.

Skip liked sports and other activities, such as wrestling (real and not so real), golf, bowling, deer hunting, and softball, which he avidly played for many years.

He had a strong faith that began as a child, where he served as an altar boy in his youth for many years at St. Boniface Catholic Church.

Skip was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Suzanna (Huberty) Wesolowski.

He is survived by his loving wife Dee; daughters, Jane, Judy (Lee) Stokke, Karen (Dave) Hartung, and Kay (Dan) Zimmer; grandchildren, Andy Hartung, Mallory (Jordan) Jacobson, and Logan Stokke; step grandson, Gareth Brickzin & family; great-grandsons, Miles Hartung, Brooks, Cruz and Hayes Jacobson.

A visitation for Skip will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street, Hastings, MN.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 31, 2024 at 11 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th Street West, Hastings, MN, with a visitation one hour prior to the mass.

Interment will be at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Cemetery in Hastings, MN.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Allina Hospice Care Team.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Hastings Family Services.

Arrangements are being handled by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel.
