Scott A. Kopp

Scott A. Kopp, age 55, of Brooklyn Center and formerly Vermillion, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness with aplastic anemia on June 25, 2023. Father, Brother, Son.

Scott was a teacher for 20+ years at Cannon Falls, North Saint Paul, and District 287 where he was involved in many student activities. He was also a boys Track and Field jump coach at Mounds View for over 30 years. His goal in life was to help as many people as he could. Between teaching and coaching, he impacted many lives.

Preceded in death by grandparents, aunts, and uncles.

Survived by children Xavier (Samantha Kallberg) , Kaylee (Walker Marks), Spencer (Jess Jensen), and Elsie; Parents James and Susie; Siblings, Kevin (Jessica), Jennie (Jason) Torgerson, Miranda (John Filek), Matt (Grace), and Kassia; Former Wife Patti, furry friend Sparkle; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

A visitation for Scott will be held Wednesday, July 5 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, Hastings. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 22 at 2:00 PM at Mounds View High School, 1900 Lake Valentine Rd., Arden Hills, MN 55112, with a gathering an hour prior. An ice cream social will follow the service.
