Ronald "Ron" W. Indgjer

Ronald "Ron" Indgjer, age 88, of Hastings, MN, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by family.

Born on November 11, 1936, in Eau Claire, WI, to Oscar and Delores (VanTassel) Indgjer, Ron enlisted in the U.S. Army after high school before attending and graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. On June 22, 1957, he married the love of his life, Charlotte (Wald), and together they built a life filled with love and devotion.

Ron’s career with the Social Security Administration spanned decades, taking the family to various locations before they settled in New Hope, MN, where they raised their children. After retirement, he and Charlotte enjoyed spending winters in Texas and Alabama before moving to Hastings, MN.

Ron was a devoted family man, known for his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering support. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; children: Pam (Pat) DeMars, Randy (Karen), Mark (Madonna), and Scott Indgjer; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Delores Indgjer; siblings, Gary and Sandra Indgjer; his son, Kevin Indgjer; and grandson, Brandon DeMars.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Allina Hospice staff for their compassionate care and support. Memorials in Ron’s honor may be directed to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hastings, MN.

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held in the spring of 2025, with details to be announced.
