Ronald "Ron" W. Endres

Ronald William Endres, age 60 of Hastings, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2023.

Ron was born on November 16, 1962 in Cannon Falls, MN to his loving parents Leon E. and Patricia. "Pat" (Mies) Endres. He grew up. on the family farm near Hampton, MN learning the simple values of love, friendship, and hard work. Although he preferred to be there for the fun and friends, he graduated from Hastings High School in 1981. He went on to work long employments at Sheldehl in Northfield, MN and Polka Dot Dairy in Hastings, MN, in addition to other part and full-time jobs where of course he met many more friends along the way. While living in Hampton, MN he served on the City of Hampton board for a term as Street Supervisor. Some of his most proud and precious moments were spending time with his 'little girl', daughter Kelsie Jo. Even in the hardest of times, he never stopped loving her.

It didn't matter if you knew him as Ronald, Ronnie, or Ron. If you knew him at all, you knew a wonderfully kind hearted and genuine person that was willing help even a stranger who usually soon became a friend. He so loved to be helpful and generous to his family and friends. Most of all, he had a fantastic warm smile that would melt you heart even after he just played a trick on you. He was a seriously fun and loving guy that will be missed dearly but forever remembered by all that knew him. Six months ago he moved to The Quill apartments in Hastings, MN and had already befriended so many of the residents and gained another whole 'family' of friends that he loved dearly. That was our Ronnie! How lucky we were to have had the chance to be a part in the life of Ronald William Endres.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon E. Endres; and grandparents, Joseph and Anne Endres and William and LuVerna Mies.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Kelsie Jo (Anthony) Craig; mother, Patricia (Mies) Endres; siblings, Thomas "Tom" (Anita) Endres, Debra "Debbie" (Tom) Olson, Leon "Lee" (Joan) Endres and Shirley Endres; nephews and nieces, Andrew (Shelby) Endres, Dominic (Ashley) Endres, Dylan Olson, Ryan Endres, Nicholas Endres, Ashlyn Endres, Erica Endres; aunts, uncles, and many cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at St. Mathias Catholic Church in Hampton, with Father Mike Tix officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., and to a reception immediately following the graveside service, all at church on Wednesday.

Memorials are preferred to the Mayo Clinic Neurology Department in Rochester, MN.

Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
