Roger William Stoffel

Roger William Stoffel, 80, of Hastings died peacefully at his home on Saturday, July 30, 2022 after the many challenges of COPD. He was born July 12, 1942 to Raymond P. Stoffel & Florence Rose (Holzemer) the fourth oldest of 12 siblings in Hastings and eventually graduated from Hastings High School in 1961. Roger Served his country with the United States Army and on January 13, 1973 he married Linda Werner and together raised their two sons. Rog retired from 3M after 37 years as an aerospace quality control technologist. He enjoyed gardening and yard work around the house. Rog was active in the Hastings Baseball and Hockey programs for many years and enjoyed time with his family and grandchildren whenever possible. He and Linda valued their drives around the country and a Windsor Seven with friends. His meaningful words and wisdom will be greatly missed, especially his reminder to "Do your Best" Blessed be the memory of Roger William Stoffel. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Linda; sons, Ryan (Rebecca) Stoffel and Jason (Teran) Stoffel; grandchildren, Connor, Claire, Charlie, Bentley, Harmon and Bently; siblings, Bob (Dorothy) Stoffel, Mary Braun, Ronald Stoffel, Elaine (Allan) Duerr, Ralph Stoffel, Lorraine "Chubby" (Mike) McGowan, Janice (Ken) Huber, Rick (Cheryl) Stoffel and Rollie (Sher) Stoffel, and other relatives and friends. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Betty (Wayne) Nicklay (Cecelia, 2nd wife of Wayne) and Ray, Jr. Stoffel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am Wednesday, August 10 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings, with visitation from 9:00 am - 11:00am at the church. Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel is assisting the family. Interment will be at a later date.
