Roger J. Loesch

Roger Joseph Loesch, age 83, of Hastings died Monday, February 27, 2023.

Roger was born February 24, 1940, in Hastings to Carl and Gertrude (Matz) Loesch. He married Donna Mae Lorentz in Cannon Falls at St. Pius V Catholic Church on September 3, 1960. Roger loved spending time with Donna and their family. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying camping, hunting, fishing and hiking. Roger seemed to know how to do just about anything and always found a way to fix or get things done.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Melvin; and sister Marlene Tix.

He is survived by his wife, Donna and their children Tim (Joan) Loesch of Rosemount, Wendy (Randy) McKinnis of Minneapolis, Shawn (Tracy) Whipple of Red Wing, Chuck (Vickie) Loesch of Bismarck, ND, and Chris (Jeanene) Loesch of Hastings; 12 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren; sister, Elaine and brothers, Ronald, Donald, and Thomas; and a large extended family.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, March 5th, 2023 at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, Hastings, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, March 6th, 2023. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery in Hastings at 12:00 P.M with a reception following at the funeral home in Hastings at 12:30 P.M.
