Robert Kopf Jr.

Robert Kopf Jr., age 61 of St. Paul, died suddenly but peacefully at Regions Hospital on Tuesday morning, September 5, 2023.

Robert Kopf Jr., the son of Robert Sr. and Nancy (Bast) Kopf, was born on January 19, 1962, in St. Louis, Missouri. Following his graduation from Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellen, Illinois, Robert continued his education at Carlton College where he studied Biology. Robert later received his MBA in Business from St. Thomas University. He was united in marriage to Laura Nelson and they were blessed with one daughter, Samantha, prior to later being divorced. Robert was a true entrepreneur at heart who founded businesses over the years, and also had a successful career in medical sales. His creative endeavors often allowed him to venture into many unique industries, most recently in 3D printing. Outside of work, Robert loved riding his bike around St. Paul, flying his drone, and spending as much time outdoors as he could. He also enjoyed working on the family farm in Dodgeville, Wisconsin. Robert was very proud of his daughter Sami, and just recently watched her receive her Doctorate Degree.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Dr. Samantha Kopf (Anthony Lee Apple); brothers, Paul (Michele) Kopf and Tad (Geralyn) Kopf; nieces and nephews, Caroline (Rob) Bracken, Katharine Kopf, Liam Kopf, and Gwendolyn Kopf; and by other relatives and friends.

In keeping with Robert's wishes, a private family graveside service will be held at Eastside Cemetery in Dodgeville, Wisconsin.

In lieu of flowers, Robert's family requests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association in his memory.

Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
