Robert "Bob" J. Swanson

Robert "Bob" Jon Swanson, age 43, passed away at home on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from natural causes of a hereditary complex heart disease.

Robert was born on November 8, 1979 at Regina Hospital, the second of three Swanson's born that day. Bob attended Hastings High School where he participated in football, hockey, and golf. He went to the state tournament with the football and hockey teams. After graduation he attended Dunwoody College in Minneapolis, MN. He was the co-owner of Spiral Pizza and "Tubby's" bar and grill for many years. He took making pizza's to perfection, if you had a pizza in the last two decades he made it. Bob loved playing cards and if anyone stopped by his house they had to enjoy a game of cribbage. Bob will always be remembered as one of the "nice" guys.

He was preceded in death by his father, Greg "Swany" Swansons; grandparents, Ralph "Tubby" (who was also born on November 8th) and Irene Estlund as well as Robert and Myra Swanson.

Robert was survived by his mother, Sharon Swanson (Estlund); sister, Sarah Miska; brother, Thomas Reinardy; niece, Kayley Miska; nephew, Tyson Miska; step-grandmother, Sandy McLaughlin Swanson; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. with a visitation being held two hours prior starting at 1:00 P.M. at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings, MN. Private interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery.
