Rita Louise Crosby

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Rita Louise Crosby of Hastings on January 10, 2023 at the age of 62 years. She was born on June 10, 1960 in Hastings, Minnesota to Stanley and Helen Bastien.

Rita graduated from Hastings High School and worked a variety of jobs including medical coding at a medical clinic in St. Paul and most recently at the V.A. Hospital Call Center. Rita enjoyed quilting with her sisters and mother. She also loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her and her family. She loved to find and try out new recipes. Rita loved her family and enjoyed her family gatherings always at 1 PM.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Joshua (Naomi) Crosby, Joseph (Samantha) Crosby and Jessica (James) Crosby; grandsons, Evan and Owen Crosby and Colton and Croix Crosby; brothers, Fred (Judy) Bastien and Paul (Sue) Bastien; sisters, Theresa Dressler, Susan (Benji) Frishberg, Doris Bastien, Ruth (Ken) Kummer and Karen Bastien; sister-in-law, Teresa Darlene Bastien; and 10 nieces and nephews.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Helen (McCoy) Bastien; sister, Jean Poehler; brother, Leo (Darlene) Bastien; brother-in-law Jon Poehler.

At Rita's request, no service will be held. We request that in her honor that you gather with family members and make lots of memories.
