Patricia "Pat" Carroll

Patty Carroll, 72, of Hastings passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2023.

Patty was born August 10, 1951 to Otto and Lillian (Gabbert) Heesch in Hastings, Minnesota. She proudly grew up on the Eastside and graduated from Hastings High School in 1969. Patty spent many years working as a cook at Regina Hospital.

On May 10, 1974, she married Dave Carroll in Hastings. Together, Patty and Dave enjoyed years of motorcycle rides, traveling and camping around the states. In addition, she loved tending to her garden, doing needlepoint, and watching the Vikings. Patty was a wonderfully strong, and sometimes stubborn, woman who loved her family and always had a spot in her heart for her rescued cats. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her siblings, Bonnie Caneff and Michael (Jan) Heesch; step-children, Diana Carroll-Almen (Paul) and Jeff Carroll; granddaughters, Miranda and Sydney Almen; great-nephew, Robert Rehm; in-laws, Jim (Sandy) Carroll, Charlotte (Jim) Bzoskie, Mary (Bruce) Blevins; as well as many close nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Patty was preceded in death by her parents; 8 siblings; and her husband, Dave.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00am Saturday, August 26 at the Corner Stone Bible Church, 735 East 10th Street Hastings, with visitation one hour prior.
