Patricia "Pat" Anderson

Patricia "Pat" Anderson, 74, of Hastings passed away peacefully on August 17, 2023.

She was born to Richard and Delores (Nielsen) Anderson of February 3, 1949. Pat was a lifelong resident of Hastings, attending Guardian Angel's Catholic School and graduating from Hastings High School in 1967. She also was a longtime member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

Pat worked various places around town; Smeads, The Hastings Star, Red Owl, but her most treasured job was being mom and grandma. Pat was a very gentle soul, yet loved large and strong. She cared for everyone around her. She adored family time, Sunday Football, gram's super bowl parties, the holidays and yes, QVC shopping.

Her laughter was infectious and she had that until the very end.

Pat is survived by her kids, David, Dan, Jennifer and Kristin (Calvin) Rossman; 4 amazing grandchildren, Arianna, Jasmine, Ellie and Logan; 1 great-grandchild on the way; the lights of her life, sisters, Deb (Tim) Peterson and Diane Johnson; her nieces and nephews that she just adored; many friends and extended family.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Hospice of the Midwest and the caring staff at Benedictine. You made mom's journey so dignified.

An Open house to Celebrate Pat’s life will be from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm Thursday, August 31 at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings.
