Pamela "Pam" Grossbach, age 76 of Hastings, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family at home on Thursday morning, December 19, 2024.
Pamela Kay, the daughter of Melvin and Lois (Matthees) Raasch, was born in Rochester on December 18, 1948. Pam grew up in Zumbrota where she graduated from Zumbrota High School with the class of 1966. On June 7, 1969, Pam was united in marriage to Kent Grossbach at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Zumbrota, and they recently celebrated fifty-five years of marriage. Pam was a longtime daycare provider for countless families and cherished the time spent nurturing and caring for her children along the way. She later worked at Smead Mfg. in Hastings until her retirement where she gained many friendships along the way. Those friendships continued into many Wednesday night girls happy hours around Hastings.
If you knew Pam, you knew that she had a true passion for sports of any kind! From playing softball with the Bierstube's team, to being the secretary of the bowling league, participating in many volleyball matches, and much more, Pam was certainly willing to participate in any way she could. All throughout her life, Pam never missed the chance to watch her children, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren's sporting events wherever they were. Most of all, Pam cherished her grandchildren who truly were her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pam is survived by her loving husband, Kent; children Joseph (Heidi) Grossbach and Kris (John) See; grandchildren, Nicolis Grossbach, Macy Frandrup, Ruby See, and Breck See; twin sister, Sandy (Wayne) Friedrich; siblings, Randi (Aaron) Wichmann and Fred (Jan) Raasch; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2024, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Zumbrota, with Pastor Eric Westlake officiating. Private interment will take place at a later date.
