Ngaire L. Louden

Ngaire L. Louden, age 78, of Hastings passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones July 17, 2023.

Jerri was born in Mankato on October 20, 1944. She was a skilled knitter and crocheter who loved to rock the hours away. Jerri was a nature lover who took great joy in bird watching, and enjoying her coffee on the deck surrounded by flowers and butterflies. She always looked forward to family visits where they would reminisce and have long conversations. Above all, she loved her family and loved being surrounded by them.

Preceded in death by her husband, Donald Louden; parents, Herman & Gretchen Pitts; siblings, Maynard Pitts, Ardella Bell, Daryl Pitts, Louis Pitts, Sharon Pierce, and Marlan Pitts.

Survived by her children, Jamie (Mark) Schanus, and Robert (Barbara) Simpson; grandchildren, Stephanie (Vernon) Richardson, Samantha, Jesse, Miranda, Bryan, Paula, and Alex; sister, DeMaris Frederickson of River Falls; many beloved nephews & nieces.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 22 at 11:00 AM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at Lakeside Cemetery. All are welcome to a reception after the committal service.
