Myrtle C. Traynor

Myrtle C. (Eliason) Traynor of Hastings – formerly of Isle, MN passed away peacefully on December 02, 2022.

Myrtle was born in Thief River Falls on October, 18th, 1930. She met and married Richard and they moved to the Twin Cities where she began her career at Marsh McLennan and Mercer as an Executive Secretary. They retired and were able to enjoy their lake home and several winters in Florida.

Myrt enjoyed gardening, walking, playing her piano, singing her Norwegian songs, dancing to Molly B's Polka Party on Saturday nights, cooking for an army and baking her Cherry Chocolate Chip Banana bread for others to enjoy. She truly loved everyone and will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; grandson, Trevor; two brothers and a sister.

Myrtle is survived by her children, Kristi (Lester) Durst, Gaylen (Anne) Traynor, Dale (Tina) Traynor, and Dean (Darla) Traynor; her sister, Esther; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 15th Street W. in Hastings. A visitation will be held one hour prior to mass at church on Tuesday. Burial to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetary in Wahkon, Minnesota.
