Monica M. Scully

Monica M. Scully, age 67, of Hastings, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family June 9, 2022. Monica was a fun loving Mom, Grandma, Sister and Dear Friend to many. She loved spending time with her family, outdoors in her flower gardens, decorating for every holiday, garage sale shopping, a good card game, and the many adventures she went on with her girlfriends. But her most precious moments were the times she spend with her boys and grandkids. Her best days were days she could bring happiness to others! She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Kathleen (Gerster) Leifeld; father and mother in law, Sylvester and Lorraine Scully; and sister in law, Aimee Leifeld. Monica is survived by Vince Scully, children, Cory (Jill) Scully, Tony Scully, Andrew (Marey) Scully; grandchildren, Cole, Taylor, Evan, Autumn, Ava, Ivy and Hartley; siblings Helen (Gary) Wood); Nancy (Richard) Traen, Rose (Paul) Brennan, Lisa (Terry) Youngren, John (Patty) Leifeld, Jim (Sandy) Leifeld, Jeff Leifeld, Julie (Grant) Olson; special friend, Steven (Zack) Zarecky; and many other relatives and friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 106 W. Main St. in Vermillion, MN. A visitation will be held one hour prior to mass at church. Interment, St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Join us with wearing something pink or purple to the service in honor of Monica’s love for bright and cheery colors!
