Maureen Kay Taylor

On October 16, 2022, our loving mother, Maureen Kay Taylor age 71 passed away peacefully in her home at Yorkshire of Edina. She was cared for by many caretakers, family and friends that were continuously by her side.

Maureen, the daughter of Stanley and Evelyn(Ask) Millen was born on March 5, 1951 in Rochester, MN.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend who always saw the good in people. She had a warm heart for others and found joy in looking after the many children and adults that she cared for in her jobs. She had an open heart to all people that walked into her life and loved them unconditionally. Spending time at gatherings, sitting beside her family and friends, and enjoying the conversation with laughter over a good meal was something she always loved. Her grandchildren were the center of her world. Reading books, going bowling, playing mini-golf and doing crafts with them were activities that she reminisced about often. She had a funny sense of humor that would take people by surprise. The moments spent with her loved ones was what she cherished most.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Kathleen Peterson.

Maureen is survived by her loving daughters, Susan Taylor, Sara (Joshua) Johnson, Stacey (Imer) Fuentes; grandchildren, Tristan Hassen, Madeline Johnson, Abbie Jo Johnson, Iliana Fuentes, and Brexton Fuentes; siblings, Mitch Millen, Julie Roth, Colleen Millen, Todd (Darlene) Millen, Matt (Heather) Millen, Becky (Jim) Raatz, Bridgette Kampa, and Andy Millen; brother-in-law, Greg Peterson; former husband, Daniel (Nancy) Taylor; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A celebration of Maureen's life will be held Sunday, October 23 at 11:00 AM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings, MN. Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation from 9:00 - 11:00 AM and to a reception immediately following the service. The burial will follow the reception at Lakeside Cemetery in Hastings.
