Mary V. Perry

It is with tremendous sorrow, that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great, great-grandmother Mary Vivian (Mele) Perry at the age of 94. Mary was born on February 4, 1928 in Omaha, Nebraska to Louis Mele, and Alma (Johnson) Mele. She had one older sister Louise (Mele) Benson. When Mary was two years old, she moved to St. Paul, MN. Mary married the love of her life, Alexander William Perry when she was 16. The couple had two children, Alexander Perry Jr. (Pinky), and Suzanne Marie (Perry) Neuman. Mary was not only a mother, she worked as an elevator operator for the Lowry Hotel. Later she began to do accounting work for the same hotel. In her spare time she loved to cook food, Italian was the best! She would knit and crochet sweaters and blankets for all the babies in the family. In addition, she would go to casinos and bingo halls, watch old movies, and play video games. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She would love to sit and have coffee and talk with them any day, but holidays were the best. Her presence will be missed. She has been preceded in death by many family members. We are positive she is happy to join her husband Al, once again. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2022 at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings. Visitation will be from 12:30- 2p.m. Interment will be at Lakeside Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
