Mary L. Swedahl

Mary Louisa Swedahl “LuLu” was born on January 9th, 1943, in Cincinnati, OH, the daughter of the late Mary Jens (Kramer) and Robert Jens. Lu Lu passed away peacefully surrounded by family on the morning of May 19th, 2024. She loved spoiling her grandkids, spending time with family at the Turtle Lake cabin, gardening, and cooking for all. Professionally, she was a long-time employee of the Amherst H. Wilder Foundation in St. Paul, MN. Lu Lu lived in the St, Paul area for most of her younger years, before moving to Turtle Lake (WI), and ultimately retiring in Green Valley (AZ).

Preceded in death by her husband John “Jack” Swedahl, brother Bob Jens, sister Laurie Edberg (Jens), Lu Lu is survived by her brother Mike Jens (Vicki), sister Betsy Jann, children Sue Hoder (Mark), Julie Carlson (Troy) & Mike Swedahl (Jenny Wolden), grandchildren Leah, Jack H., Brett, Griffin, Trevor, Katie, Jack S., Adam, and many nieces & nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Lung Cancer Association. A private celebration of life will be held this summer.
