Mary Joanne Rose Huberty

Mary JoAnne Rose Huberty, 64, of Saint Paul, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 23, 2024.

Mary Jo was born in Hastings, MN, on April 11, 1960, to Charles and Grace (Mahoney) Huberty. Growing up, she was surrounded by her brothers, sister, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She attended school in West Saint Paul, LifeWorks, Minnesota Special Services, and PAI Day Programs. She later moved to Dakota Communities, a supported living environment encouraging as much independence and community interactions as possible.

From a very early age, Mary Jo developed a love of Disney music and movies. She traveled to Disney World five times with family and friends. Mary Jo filled every day with joy, fun, arts and crafts, and great food (especially ice cream). She participated in the Hastings Sharks Special Olympics team in the sports of bowling, equestrian, and track and field.

Mary Jo is preceded in death by her brother, Terry; mother, Grace; and father, Charles.

She is survived by Tom (Elizabeth) Huberty; Tim (Susan) Huberty; Therese (Ron) Behnke; Marty (Lisa) Huberty; and Matthew Huberty, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Resurrection Mass will be held at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings, Minnesota, on Friday, June 14, 2024, with visitation from 9 - 11 a.m. Luncheon will be served immediately following Mass. Private interment service after lunch.
