Mary Catherine Goodman

Mary Catherine (Nowicki) Goodman of Hastings, MN passed away on December 24, 2023 after a long battle with cancer.

Mary was born on July 13, 1949 and grew up in Sherburn and Mankato. She was a 1967 graduate of Good Counsel Academy and attended Mankato State University. She married her husband of 51 years, Bill, on December 12, 1972. In 1976, they moved to Hastings where they raised their family. Mary was a voracious reader, gifted artist, and talented cook, who loved camping and the outdoors. A devoted mother, she also spent many hours volunteering at her kids’ schools as well as in the community.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Alice Nowicki, and brother Richard Nowicki.

She is survived by her husband William, children Melissa, Matthew, and Hallie, granddaughter Maisie, and her beloved Shih Tzu, Max.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings, followed by a reception and time of sharing memories.
