Loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Martha was a spark that lit up every room that she was in. She was deeply loyal to her family, especially to her beloved husband of 52 years, her children, and her 3 grandchildren who she referred to as her “doll babies.” Martha was a devoted Special Education teacher for more than 40 years, working in classrooms that were both challenging and joyful. Of her greatest gifts were her sense of humor, her ability to make everyone feel welcome, and mediate peace. We mourn here on earth, but rejoice in the hope of heaven. Martha is preceded in death by daughter, Molly Williams; and parents, Lawrence & Eunice Beckman. She is survived by husband, David; son, Peter (Amy); granddaughters: Elsie, Clara, and Lucy; and many other beloved family and friends. Memorial Service 1 PM, Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church 5025 Knox Ave., Minneapolis with visitation one hour before. Internment Lakewood Cemetery.
