Marilyn Rae Bauerfeld

Marilyn Rae Bauerfeld, age 88, of Hastings, formerly of West St. Paul and Englewood, FL, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 16, 2024.

Born August 6, 1935 in Hibbing, MN to Howard and Jennie (Terhark) Manlove. Marilyn grew up with two sisters and three brothers. She was a talented floral designer for 40 years and into retirement. Marilyn loved flowers, doll collections and decorating along with her many adventures with the love of her life, Bump. She loved their boating years and all their travels along with living in Florida for many years.

Marilyn had a wonderful, full life. She enjoyed spending time with family and was always the calm in the room. She will be greatly missed.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Howard “Bump”; children, David (Kathy), Donald, Debra McDuff (Jerry Hammer); grandchildren, Jennifer (Erik) Cox, Julie (Nick) Langley, Nick Bauerfeld, Kelly McDuff, Chad McDuff; and by eight great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; five siblings; and by her special daughter-in-law, Cindy Bauerfeld.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 19, 2024 at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street, Hastings with a visitation one hour prior. A private interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings.
