Margaret "Maggie" A. Mahowald

Margaret "Maggie" A. Mahowald, age 67, of Hastings passed away peacefully September 20, 2023.

Maggie cherished spending time with her kids, grandkids, and siblings. As her children and grandchildren grew up, she never missed a sporting event and became their number one fan. Some of Maggie's favorite memories were made at her siblings cabin, and going up to the north shore especially Split Rock Lighthouse and Gooseberry Falls. Holidays were some of her favorite things, it didn't matter what time of the year it was, she was always preparing for Christmas.

Maggie was raised, and spent her life, in Hastings. No matter how far she was from Hastings, she always looked forward to coming home. When she was at home, she enjoyed feeding the birds, crafting, and gardening.

Preceded in death by her parents, Richard Mahowald & Dorothy Mahowald; brother, Tom Mahowald.

She is survived by her children, Melissa (Brad) Schiller, Ambrose Kieffer, Richard (Rayanna) Kieffer; grandkids, Brady, Josef, and Oliver Schiller; siblings, Steve Mahowald, Connie Mahowald, Pam Schmitt, Mark Mahowald, and Lisa Mahowald; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday, September 25 at 11:00 AM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel with a visitation one hour prior.
