Gergen, Lenore J.

Age 82 of Hastings, passed away peacefully on Christmas morning. Preceded in death by her dear husband, Eugene Gergen; parents, brother, and sister. Survived by her husband’s family, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Lenore loved dogs and animals of any kind. She was an entrepreneur and owned a pet store in Hastings for many years. Lenore served as a secretary for the American Cavy Breeders Association, which included managing breeders shows and judging throughout the country. Both she and her husband were big supporters of 4H in Dakota County. Lenore was a professional dog trainer for many years. She absolutely adored her grand nieces and nephews, and enjoyed spending time with her family. Lenore and Gene were always very close with their friends and enjoyed their special Friday evening outings. She was a very generous, loving, spiritual woman. Lenore and Gene loved Christmas so it only seems fitting that they were reunited on Christmas day. Memorial Service at 11am on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave., Apple Valley, with visitation one hour prior. A special thank you to her caregivers at the Benedictine Living Community.
