Kathleen A. Henry

Kathleen A. Henry (Schloegl), age 76, was called home to God on February 1, 2024, after battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Kathy was born to parents Joseph and Marie (Harmeling) Schloegl on June 17, 1947 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She married her loving husband, Dave in 1995. Kathy attended Saint Agnes High School and went on to study at Winona State University, and later attended nursing school where she earned her degree. For 25 years, she served as a dedicated nurse at St. Paul Ramsey Hospital, alongside running a successful home and business cleaning venture for over two decades. She took great pride in cleaning the church rectory and clients that turned into friends. Kathy enjoyed playing the piano and guitar, dancing, and singing karaoke. She was active in sports, including volleyball, softball, and pool leagues. A gymnastics enthusiast from her early days, she could still do a cartwheel at the age of 72. Kathy was known for her communication skills and love for writing letters and cards, especially her 4 page Christmas letters. She was an extremely generous person and always made sure that her nieces and nephews always had gifts during family Christmas's and birthdays. Most of all, Kathy cherished her family, friends, and fur babies, Calvin, Teddy, and Stanley

She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Marie Schloegl; and her brother, David.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Dave; sister, Yvonne (Dick) Dugan and Karen (Kob) Nordli; as well as many other nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2035 W. 15th St, Hastings, MN, at 11:30 a.m. with a visitation two hours prior starting at 9:30 a.m. A reception will follow Mass at the church with burial at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Cemetery at 1:30. p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorials be directed to further Alzheimer's research. The family wished to express their sincere gratitude to Carondelet Village and their dedicated staff for the exceptional love and care extended to her during her time there.
