Julia "Julie" A. Dobbins

Julia "Julie" Dobbins, age 87, of Hastings, MN became heaven’s newest angel on August 16, 2023, after a short courageous battle with cancer.

Julie was born September 13, 1935, to Virginia Yerian Wilson and Austin Yerian in Jackson, OH. She graduated from Jackson High School in 1953 and proceeded to marry the love of her life Paul (Dobbie) Dobbins on December 27, 1954, in Jackson Ohio. Julie and Dobbie made their home first in Columbus, OH, then Hilliard, OH and next was Bellefontaine, OH. This is where their love of anything OHIO STATE came in. They then moved to Danville, IL and from there settled in Crystal Lake, IL. Julie made so many lifelong friends in each and every place she called home. After Dobbie died, she made her way to Hastings, MN where she has been part of the Benedictine Senior Living facilities since 2017. She loved it there and was involved in any and all activities. She made countless friends there who she loved and cared about with her whole heart and soul.

Preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dobbinsher; parents, Robert and Virginia Yerian Wilson and Austin Yerian; sister, Joyce Nichol; brothers, David Yerian and Robert Wilson; sister-in-law, Judith Yerian; brother-in-law, Kenneth Nichol and Carl Dobbins.

Julie is survived by her daughters, Dee (Fred) Rambacher, Jane Prichard and Suzie (Ken) Massett; grandchildren, Aimee (Jamie) Swanson, Anne Henning, Ryan (Andrea) Rambacher, Abby Prichard, Tom Prichard, Jack Massett and Sarah (Ryan) Ruth; great-grandchildren, Samantha (Wyatt Doffing) Swanson, Sydney Swanson, Sophia Swanson, Charlie Henning, Zoe Rambacher and Carter Rambacher; sisters, Laura Reismeyer and Jean Buehler; sister in-law, Ann Dobbins; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was also able to meet and get to know her great-great grandchild Wesley Doffing.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 21 at 10:30 AM in Crystal Lake, IL at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1023 McHenry Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014 with burial to follow at Crystal Lake Memorial Park.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation Sunday, August 20 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Davenport Funeral Home Crystal Lake, IL.
