Judith A. "Judy" Heesch, a lifelong resident of Cowtown, died peacefully at Abbott Northwestern Hospital on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, age the age of 82.
Judith Anne, the daughter of John and Helen (Radke) Majeski, was born on May 25, 1940, in Hastings. Following her graduation from Hastings High School with the class of 1958, Judy was united in marriage to John L. Heesch at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Hastings on October 15, 1960. They were blessed with four children and nearly thirty-two years prior to his passing on July 16, 1992. Judy was a longtime employee at Hudson Mfg. and later worked at Regina Medical Center until her retirement in 2011. Judy was a longtime member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings where she regularly attended Mass. She was a spunky, feisty, and independent lady that was loved by many people throughout the community.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; children, Jacqueline "Jackie" Wilkins and Jon Heesch; and by her grandson, Robert Heesch.
Judy is survived by her children, Jeff Heesch and Jennifer Heesch; six grandchildren and many great grandchildren; siblings, John "Jack" (Ginny) Majeski, David (Mary) Majeski, Diane (Randy) Knutson, and Wendy (Robbie) Robinson; and by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hastings, with Father David Hennen officiating. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation for one hour prior to the Mass, and to a Celebration of Judy's Life immediately following the graveside services, all at church on Tuesday, April 4.
