Joshua Caleb Schumacher

Joshua Caleb Schumacher, 25, of Hastings, MN passed way on 2/19/2023 after battling Lymphoma for 2.5 years.

Joshua was born on 2/19, 1998 to Jim and Deb Schumacher in Hastings, MN. After graduating from Hastings High School, Josh worked with adults with disabilities at ProAct in Eagan. He moved to Colorado in the Spring of 2020 and continued working as a youth counselor for youth with disabilities at Laradon.

Josh was a likable guy who naturally attracted people and animals. He knew how to make everyone feel welcome and included; he was genuinely interested in the lives of others. Josh's humor was dry, witty, and unique. With his nieces and nephews, Josh was a big Teddy Bear, their buddy, and best friend. He always knew how to make things fun with his siblings, but also got introspective and shared wisdom in deeper conversations. Josh loved life, MN Twins, football, gaming, concerts, mountains, cultivating plants, cooking, and having a good time with family and friends. He spread joy wherever he went.

Joshua was preceded in death by grandparents Marvin Schumacher and Lois Nordstrom. He is survived by parents Jim Schumacher and Deb Schumacher; grandparents Heidi Langenfeld and Arthur Nordstrom; sister Katrina Hasbrouck with her husband David Hasbrouck and their children Daniel and Evelyn; brother Joseph Schumacher with his wife Kate Schumacher and their children Levi, Ella, and Lydia; brother Jacob Schumacher with his wife Kaitlin Starr and their children Harper, Hendrix, and Lennon; sister Rebecca Albers with her husband Samuel Albers; brother Jonathan Schumacher and his daughter, Korra; brother James Schumacher; sister Joanna Schumacher and her son Dakota; sister Julia Schumacher; brothers Jesse Schumacher, Jeremiah Schumacher, Jonah Schumacher; and half-brother Christopher Foley with his wife Jessamyn Foley and their son Tristan.

A Celebration of Josh's life will be Friday, February 24 at 4:00PM at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel with a visitation from 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM.
