Joleen M. Wright, age 84, of Hastings, passed away October 30, 2022.
She was born in Hastings on May 25, 1938 to Kenneth and Josephine (Keene) Meeker. Joleen married Gerald Wright on February 4, 1961 in Hastings. She had a few jobs outside the home, but her main focus and love was being a homemaker and mom. Joleen enjoyed her animals and everything the went with them, especially collecting eggs from her chickens and spinning wool from the sheep she and Jerry raised.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald; son, Jim; and her parents, Kenneth and Josephine Meeker.
Joleen is survived by her children, Jane (Steve) Kiester, Jeff (Chris) Wright, Julie Miller, and Jenny (Brad) Satchell; daughter in law, Margaret Wright; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Joleen's Life will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 3:00 - 6:00 PM at the Hastings Public House, 2015 Westview Drive in Hastings.
