John R. Palmer

John R. Palmer, age 84 of Burnsville, passed away on February 8, 2025.

He was born on May 22, 1940, in Minneapolis, MN, to Leonard and Evelyn Palmer. He graduated from South High School. John was a long-time resident of Burnsville, where he raised his family.

John worked in purchasing where he made many friends during his long career. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing the organ, listening to music, golfing, bowling, fishing, spending time at the cabin, and playing Yahtzee, cards and other games.

John is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Myrna; brother, Jerry; and by his son, David.

He is survived by his son, Michael (Naomi); daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Schwartzbauer; grandchildren, John, Emily, Kate, Preston, Payton, Carolyn, Allie, and Jason; sister, Kathy (Glen) Peterson; sister-in-law, Pattie (Bryan) Talbot.

A private family gathering will be held to Celebrate John’s Life.
