Jesse A. Gilman

Jesse A. Gilman, age 45 of Cottage Grove, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.

Jesse was born on January 25, 1978 in St. Paul, MN to Diane (Chatterton) Olson and Ray Gilman. Jesse was extremely skilled when it came to computers, and after graduating on the Dean's List from Brown Institute, he ultimately became an IT specialist in the dental field. He was also a talented musician, enjoyed spending time in nature, and truly was a pet lover, specifically of his dog Frank and cat Manny. Jesse had a tremendous sense of humor, and always kept those around him laughing. He will be truly missed by all of those whose lives he touched.

Jesse was preceded in death by his grandpa Ray; grandma Rose, grandpa Stan, grandma Marlene, grandpa Ed; and his dog, Frank.

He is survived by his parents, Ray (Patti) Gilman and Diane (Jim) Olson; brother, Brian (Kate) Gilman; grandmother, Jean Gilman; step-siblings, Tyler Jacobson, Heather Jacobson, Erin Bierl and Seth Bolden; nephew and nieces, Liam and Lilian Gilman and Anissya Martinez; grandpa and grandma Chatterton; and his cat Manny.

A Celebration of Jesse's Life will be held from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings, with a time of sharing at 2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in memory of Jesse.
