Jeremy D. James, age 44, passed peacefully in his home, on Sunday June 5th. Jeremy had a passion for helping others. He attended MCTC and Metropolitan State for Psychology, and in the past worked at MCIL. Jeremy was on a power wheelchair hockey team, and cherished his time with his teammates who became his lifelong friends. His kindness, authenticity, grace, soft nature, and sense of humor made him a delight to be with. Jeremy was an avid music fan, and collected hundreds of vinyl records. He loved attending live concerts. He spoke often of new music, and his favorite bands. His humor, and ability to connect with anyone, even strangers was palpable. He had the gift of making anyone feel welcome and comfortable. Jeremy's ability to live through his chronic disease with kindness, and grace, was an example of strength, and bravery to all who knew him. Jeremy now rests in peace, free from pain, and will forever be missed by all who knew him. When we look up at the night sky and see the twinkling stars, we will know that it is Jeremy, showing us that he is safe, and secure, with access to unlimited concerts, a juicy steak, a delicious drink, is at peace, and full of joy. Jeremy, was son to Marlene Korvela, and the late Dan James. He is survived by his siblings, Kristin Wisniewski (Mike), Jordan, Olivia, Adrianna, and Noah; 3 nieces and 1 nephew, Reagan, Lilliana, Paxton, and Natalie. He was well loved by many friends including his closest friends, Eric, Rachel, Dennis, Billie, and Corry. Jeremy's family and friends would like to express heartfelt gratitude to Nick, and Matt for devoting themselves to caring for him for many years through thick and thin, and for creating an unbreakable bond with him.
