Janice “Toots” Fay Migut, age 78, of Hastings, MN passed away February 25, 2025 at her home in Hastings.
Jan was born in Greenville, KY to Virgina Miller and Leonard Mencer on August 18, 1946. On April 26, 1971 she married Jerome “Mig” Migut Sr. in Wheaton, IL. Before retiring, she worked as a postal clerk for the USPS. In her spare time Jan enjoyed reading, gardening, crafting, writing, painting and most of all, spending time with friends and family.
Jan was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, George Jakubowski; half-sister, Georgette Nolan; and granddaughter, Alexandra Waterhouse.
She is survived by her husband; sons, Thomas Deutscher, Jerome Migut Jr.; daughters, Tina Deutscher, Teresa Migut; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; half-sister, Carrol Britten; half-brother, Stewart Mencer; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
A private Celebration of Life is to be planned. Burial is to be determined.
Jan colored the world with her art and her smile, leaving behind a legacy of creativity and love.
