Jane F. Eberspacher

September 16, 1941 — March 4, 2025

Hastings Chapel

Jane found joy in spending time with family. Whether it was as the middle child with eight brothers and sisters on the farm or at the cabin with her grandkids, Jane created long-lasting memories with those around her. She spent her final days sharing those fond memories—memories others will have for their lifetimes.

Jane Frances Eberspacher, 83, of Hastings, Minnesota, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 04, 2025, at Oak Ridge Assisted Living in Hastings.

Jane, daughter of Anthony and Dora (Reinardy) Kasel, was born in Vermillion on September 16, 1941, on the family farm where she created lasting memories. She graduated from Farmington High School in 1959. After high school, Jane worked at Minnesota Mutual, where she met Gary, the man she married five years later. Jane became a stay-at-home mother, raising their four children for several years. When she returned to the workforce, she enjoyed a career in retail sales, working for Maurice’s and Meyer Co. in Hastings.

Jane and Gary married on August 01, 1964, an incredible 60 years of marriage. Jane enjoyed golfing, bowling, and vacations, namely cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska. Whether it was live bluegrass music or taking her grandkids to a play, she also enjoyed the arts. When at home, Jane could be found in one of her flower gardens or watching her favorite baseball team, the Minnesota Twins.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Dora; brother, Anthony Kasel; sister, Janet McNamara; brothers-in-law Leon (Judy) Zweber and Don (Mary) Haas.

Jane is survived by her husband, Gary; children, Caroline (Paul) Spurgeon of Hastings, MN, Tom Eberspacher of Hastings, MN, Jill (Chris) Hasslinger of Lakeville, MN, and Jim (Alayne) Eberspacher of Woodbury, MN; grandchildren, Charlie (Kyle) James, Lani Hardwig-Eberspacher, Ryan Hardwig-Eberspacher, Kallista Spurgeon, David Hasslinger, Alex Hasslinger, and Julia Hasslinger; siblings, Kenny (Alvenia) Kasel, Judy Zweber, Mary Haas, Bernadette (Jim) Kautio, Ted (Kay) Kasel, Jim (Leslie) Kasel, Bill (Janet) McNamara, and Mary Jean (Anthony) Kasel; and many nieces and nephews.
