James Sieben

James Joseph Sieben, 71, was born February 4, 1951 to Norbert and Helen Sieben in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. He graduated with the class of 1969 from Hastings High School.

Jim was a man who loved the outdoors. He enjoyed, hiking, ice climbing, hunting, fly fishing, anything that could get him in the mountains. He taught himself to play the piano, harmonica, mandolin, and violin. He was a master carpenter and talented wood worker.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas Sieben, sister Kathryn Murray and sister-in-law, Dora Sieben.

Jim is survived by his children, Jennifer (Brian) Legler, and their son, Jack Legler; Sara (Brian) Rother, and their children, Zachary Rother and Gavin Rother; Andrew (Dana Schoppe) Sieben, and their baby due February 4, Anderson Sieben; Annie (Scott) Merkel, and their children Walter Merkel and Veronica Merkel; Katie (Mark Knoll) Sieben, and their children, Connor Smith and Morgan Bolland; brothers Bill (Mary), Rich (Karlene), Bernie (Nancy), John (Roxie), and Rob (Sue).

Per James wishes, there will be no services. Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings is assisting the family.
