James R. Bauman

James Richard Bauman, age 79, passed away at Augustana Senior Living in Hastings, MN on Sunday, February 26, 2023.

James was born to parents Milton and Nan (Gindele) Bauman on June 20, 1943. After graduating high school, he attended the University of Denver, CO in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science in business administration. He married his loving wife of 51 years, Beulah, on August 28, 1971. James later received his masters from Northwestern University, Illinois in 1975 with a Master of Science. He worked management for Chicago Northwestern, Burlington Northern, and the Canadian Pacific Railway. James was very fascinated with trains and loved everything to do with them, he also enjoyed playing the piano whenever he could.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Nan.

James is survived by his wife, Beulah; children, Laura (Dave) Drozdowski of Duluth, MN, Vera (Paul) Anderson of Peyton, Colorado, Daniel (Debbie) Bauman of Chino, California; granddaughters, Maria and Olivia Drozdowski; twin brother, Jack (Maddy) Bauman of Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings, MN with a visitation being held one hour prior. A reception will immediately follow the service, the family invites you to wear your casuals. Interment will take place in Maple Cemetery, Kirkland, Illinois at a later date.
