James P. Majeski, age 72, of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2024 surrounded by his family.
Born in Prescott, Wisconsin on May 25, 1952 to Werner and Elinor (Madsen) Majeski and raised in Hastings, James graduated high school in 1970, attended two years at the University of Minnesota, and then was drafted into the service as a National Guard Radio Operator.
James was married in 1982 and was blessed with Steven and Susan. He then moved to Elk River in 1990, where he began working at Contrex until his retirement in 2024. He then moved to Cambridge to be closer to family.
James had many hobbies including bowling, football, playing chess, creating stained glass and etched glass, watching sci-fi and western movies.
He is preceded in death by parents, Werner and Elinor Majeski; and his brother, Mike Majeski.
James is survived by his son, Steven (Elizabeth) Majeski and their two kids, Samantha and Alexander; daughter, Susan (Adam) Kopecky; siblings, Pete (Kathy) Majeski, Bob (Cindy) Majeski, Kathy (Larry) Majeski Paulson, Jodi (Rob) Solfest Majeski; sister-in-law, Kathy Majeski; and by many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 29, 2024 at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion Street, Hastings with a visitation one hour prior to the time of the service. Interment Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings.
