James M. Barber

age 91 of Shorewood passed away April 26, 2024.  James owned and operated Barber Construction Co. for 38 yrs, retiring in 1998.  He was a longtime member of the Masons and Zuhrah Shrine.  He enjoyed softball, shuffleboard and Winters in FL.  James was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He is preceded in death by son, Jeff; daughter, Jane; parents and one brother.  James is survived by wife, Evelyn; daughters, Jackie (Larry) Cramb and Jill (Dave) Swing; son, Jerry (Barb); 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Cameron; and man other relatives and friends.  Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 8, 2024, Mt. Olivet West Campus, 7150 Rolling Acres Rd., Victoria, MN with visitation one hour prior to service. Interment Crystal Lake Cemetery.  Memorials preferred to donor’s choice.
