James J. Bamlet

James "Jim" J. Bamlet, age 58, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday morning, November 16, 2023.

Jim was born on May 21, 1965 in Hayfield, Minnesota to parents Gordon and Marlene (Brusse) Bamlet. James enlisted in the United States National Guard after high school where he spend over 10 years serving his country. After the guard, he worked for Ford Manufacturing and was a truck driver throughout the rest of his career where he was a very hard and dedicated worker. Jim enjoyed watching football, especially the Minnesota Vikings making sure to never miss a game. He liked to cook and grill, listening to rock music, pulling pull tabs, boating and fishing, and keeping up his yard. He was a skilled handyman always having a home project going on and helping his girls fix anything between cars, plumbing, electric, etc... or any issues that arose. He was the type of person that would give the shirt off of his back to anyone that needed it regardless of the situation. He had a great sense of humor and was known to have a goofy side, keeping everybody around him laughing. His joy and spirit will be forever missed.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Gordon and Marlene; brothers, Scott and Steve.

Jim is survived by his four beautiful daughters, Carissa Bamlet, Alyssa Bamlet, Lindsey (Alec) O'Brien, and Breana (Owen Schommer) Bamlet; life partner, Lisa Bamlet; grandchildren, Lennon Bamlet, Adalyn O'Brien, Kenzlee O'Brien, and Luke Christner; siblings, Glen, Glenda, Jerry, Robin and Randy; best-friend, Tim Knowlan; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the 2nd Street Depot in Hastings, Minnesota.

Arrangement's are being completed with Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
