James D. Haugen

James D. Haugen,
Age 75 of Apple Valley, born June 19, 1949 in Minot, ND to Ernest & Bernice Haugen, passed away August 11, 2024.
Jim is preceded in death by his wife, Brenda and brothers, Kenny and Larry.
He will be dearly missed by his loving children, Sean, (Stacie) and Kimberly (Matt) Brown; grandchildren: Zachary, Brittany, Liesl, Marta, Mikayla and Morgan and other family and friends.
Jim graduated from St. Louis park high school where he met his wife of 50 years, Brenda. Jim and Brenda married right out of high school and Jim enlisted in the US Navy. Jim spend 31 years serving his country, retiring as Personnel Command Master Chief. After retirement, he continued to serve by working for the VA Hospital and the US Federal Building. He retired again in 2015. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fellow military friends, golfing, fishing and flying airplanes.
A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon, Friday, August 23, 2024 with a visitation one hour before at Henry W Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Ave. in Apple Valley. He will be laid to rest with his wife, Brenda at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
