Heather Mary Miller

Heather Mary Miller, age 49, of Hastings, MN passed away peacefully at her home on July 28th, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.

Heather was born on December 15th, 1974 in Fridley, MN. Her childhood in the Roseville area was filled with friends, fun, and laughter. Heather was a respected leader in the multi-family housing industry. She received many awards and accolades for her achievements and was a mentor and inspiration to many.

Heather was a loving wife and mother, always filling her family’s hearts with love, laughter, and happiness. She enjoyed vacationing, boating on the St. Croix River, and anything water related. She was a bright light that shined joy on anyone in her presence. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Heather was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Audrey Esser, Cecelia Olson, Ferdinand and Thelma Derkey; her father-in-law, James Miller; and her sister, Sarah Audrey Derkey.

Heather is survived by her husband and best friend, Daniel Miller; her sons, Zachary (Breanna) Miller and Brady (Reegan) Miller; parents, Donald and Mary Olson; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Miller; brothers, Thomas (Lindsey) Olson, Adam (Megan) Derkey, Joshua (Beth) Derkey; biological father, James Derkey; and sister-in-laws, Nancy (George) Eisenbacher, Carol (Chuck) Schulz, and Carlene (Mark) Howard. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and a multitude of friends.

Visitation will held be on Wednesday, August 28th, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel, 3075 Vermillion St., Hastings, MN 55033.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Heather will be held on Thursday, August 29th, 2024 at 11:00 am at Guardian Angels Catholic Church 8260 4th St. N., Oakdale, MN 55128, with a visitation one hour prior. A private burial will take place at a later date.
