Gordon "Gordy" Peter Pechacek, age 82 of Hastings, MN passed away on November 23, 2024 at Regina (Allina) Medical Center in Hastings, MN.
Gordon was born on January 20, 1942 to Earl and Gertrude (Brown) Pechacek in Hastings, MN. He was one of five children and grew up in Hastings, MN. He worked at Minnesota Veteran’s Home for over 40 years. He married Susan Meier in 1971 and had 2 children. They were married 53 years.
Gordy kept busy in retirement working on his hobby farm. He enjoyed his John Deere tractor and tinkering with lawnmowers and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Gertrude (Brown) Pechacek; brothers, Gerald and David Pechacek; sister, Gloria (Pechacek) Martin; and in-law, Elmo Martin.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Susan Pechacek; children, Janelle (Tim) Davis, Jeff (Elizabeth) Pechacek; grandchildren, Corey, Caylyne, and Cole Davis; great grandchildren, Hayden, Harrison, Daxton, and Lahni; sister, Kay Smith; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and his beloved cat, Chase.
A Celebration of Life for Gordy will be announced in the Spring.
