Gerald Voeller

Gerald M. “Jerry” Voeller, age 87 of Minneapolis, died suddenly but peacefully at home on Sunday afternoon, February 9, 2025.

Gerald Martin, the son of Jack and Barbara (Meyer) Voeller, was born on October 9, 1937, in Fillmore, North Dakota. He married Lottie Keeling and she later preceded him in death on May 21, 2017. Jerry enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was later granted an Honorable Discharge for his service. Jerry was the “favorite uncle” to many nieces and nephews, and was the best neighbor anyone could ask for. No matter if you need help mowing the grass, blowing snow, or with something around the house, Jerry would make sure he was there to help. In his free time, Jerry enjoyed making latch hook rugs for family and friends, and their pets too.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lottie; siblings,Richard, Agnes, Florence, Vi, Irene, Jack, Ray, Leo, Harold, Tony, and Vic; and by his in-laws, Big Pat, Little Pat, Teddy, Hattie, Virgil, Leo, Don, and Roger.

Jerry is survived by his sisters, Inez Steber and Lillian Carter; sisters-in-law, Olive Voeller and Phyllis Voeller; many nieces and nephews; and by his special friends and neighbors (and their pets) both near and far.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 14850 Garrett Avenue, in Apple Valley. Interment with Military Honors will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Family and friends are cordially invited to a visitation for one hour prior to the service, and to a reception immediately following the service, all at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
