Gerald "Jerry" Greenlee

Gerald S. "Jerry" Greenlee, a retired St. Paul Police Officer and longtime owner of King's Place Bar & Grill in Miesville, died peacefully surrounded by family at home on Saturday afternoon, April 27, 2024, at the age of 81.

Gerald Stanley, the son of Stanley and Margaret (Otto) Greenlee, was born on May 5th, 1942 in St. Paul. Following his graduation from Central High School, Jerry continued his education at the University of Minnesota. He became a police officer in Iowa and then transferred to the St. Paul Police Department where he retired in 1992. Jerry was united in marriage to Arlene Rampke and they were blessed with two children, Jeff and Terri. Although their marriage ended they remained best friends and business partners throughout their lives. On October 1st, 1984 Jerry and Arlene purchased King's Place in Miesville which is still owned and operated by the Greenlee family today. For those that know Jerry, it's evident he didn't miss many auctions, garage sales, or thrift stores, primarily on the hunt for Hamm's memorabilia. Jerry simply loved being at King's. He cherished every relationship and friendship that was created over the years. He was thankful for the chance to meet his soulmate of thirty-five years, Jeanette Johnson, who provided such great care to him right up to his final day. When Jerry wasn't working or looking for a good sale, you could often find him trying his luck at Treasure Island. Jerry loved playing a good game of cribbage or watching sports, especially football and baseball. As a final goodbye, think of your favorite "Jerry Phrase" or have a cold Hamm's as a final toast to a great man!

He was preceded in death by his parents; Gary Fuller; and brother, James and his wife Phyllis Greenlee.

Jerry is survived by his children, Jeff (Staci) Greenlee, Terri (Bob) Ryan, Greg Fuller, Wendy Fuller, Pam (Charlie) Neill, and Jody Fuller; soulmate Jeanette Johnson; best friend and business partner Arlene Greenlee; grandchildren, Liz, Justin, Kyle, Lily, Joel, McKenzie, Natalia, Stacy, Rhemi, Austin, Sarah, Jake; great grandchildren, Logan, Nathan, Alexa, Malachi, Mason, Bee, and Reed; sister, Joan (Roy) Boltman; and by many other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Jerry's Life will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2024, at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings. Private family interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Jerry's family kindly requests memorials be made to the Miesville Fire Department in his memory.
