Frances A. Rego

Frances A. Rego, age 93 of Hastings, died peacefully at Prescott Nursing and Rehab on Tuesday morning, November 22, 2022.

Frances Agnes, the daughter of Hollis and Agnes (Neuland) Stout, was born on May 23, 1929, in Hillsborough, Wisconsin. Following her graduation from Cazenovia Wisconsin High School, Frances continued her education at UW LaCrosse where she obtained her Associates Degree. On October 14, 1950, Frances was united in marriage to Francis M. Rego in Germantown, Wisconsin. Frances was a longtime employee at Regina Hospital in Hastings. Outside of spending time with her family and friends, she truly enjoyed going for road trips with Francis over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis; grandsons, Eric and Morgan; siblings, Betty Rego, Eugene Stout, and Ramona Demaski; and by her son-in-law, Mark Chambers.

Frances is survived by her six children, Steven (Jacki) Rego, Mark (Sonia) Rego, Bonnadine (Charles) Shaleen, John Rego, Paul Rego and Phyllis Chambers; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren; and by many other relatives and friends.

Private family services will be held at Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel in Hastings. Interment will follow at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Cemetery in Hastings.
