Eric R. Knutson

Eric R. Knutson, age 61 of Minneapolis, died peacefully at Hennepin Healthcare on Friday, December 8, 2023.

Eric Raymond, son of Raymond and Sara (Stultz) Knutson, was born in Minneapolis on November 29, 1962. Following his graduation from Hastings High School with the class of 1981, Eric joined the army reserves, studied briefly at the U of MN, and later graduated from Brown Institute with an Associates Degree in Electronics. Eric was a longtime employee of Rollerblade and Northern Cap. As a young child, he enjoyed being part of the Boy Scouts. Eric loved to fish, and also enjoyed biking, reading, gardening and cooking. He was sharp, witty and dedicated to constantly learning history and geography. Eric had been residing at Miller's Landing in Minneapolis where he enjoyed friendship, camaraderie, and living downtown.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Eric is survived by life partner of 30+ years, Joy Caudill, his sister, Karen (Michael) Griffith; nieces, Sara and Natalie; and by many other relatives and friends.

In keeping with Eric's wishes, private family services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Salvation Army or MN Adult & Teen Challenge in memory of Eric.

Arrangements are being completed by Starkson Family Life Celebration Chapel of Hastings.
